رانيا شموط is a licensed attorney with over 30 years of experience in litigation, arbitration, and legal consultancy. She has served as the Managing Partner at Abu Sharkh & Shammout Advocates and Legal Consultants since 1992, leading the firm’s practice in civil, commercial, and criminal law, as well as arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Rania holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Damascus (1991) and an MBA in Business Administration from Charisma University, USA. She has been a member of the Jordanian Bar Association since 1994.

Rania is recognized for her expertise in legal risk analysis for major projects and contracts, as well as her ability to draft and review high-standard commercial and investment agreements in accordance with international best practices. She provides strategic legal advice to governmental bodies and leading corporations and is highly skilled in negotiating and resolving complex disputes through litigation, arbitration, and ADR mechanisms.

As Managing Partner, Rania oversees the firm’s operations, case management, and client relations. She has successfully represented individuals, institutions, and corporations in civil, commercial, and criminal cases at all levels of the judiciary. She has also managed both domestic and international arbitration and mediation cases. In addition to her legal practice, she actively contributes to community legal advocacy and reform initiatives and is a regular speaker and participant at prominent legal conferences and arbitration workshops. Notably, she took part in the First Founding Conference of the Arab Union for International Institutions and Arbitration Centers.
